A couple of sites to that contain a wealth of information regarding African cichlids. The first one is BC based, so you might even be able to hook up with some local breeders.

Cichlid-forum.com is EXCELLENT! the people on the forum are super helpful (like on here ) and the articles are all very helpful. Probably the single best website for cichlids (esp. african) on the web

What is it that you'd like to know? I keep and breed lots of Africans, been at it for ten years. They are great fish, and very hardy when healthy.

Any idea on what type of cichlids you plan on keeping, i.e., Central / South American, East /West African, etc? When you decide, pop over to my website's link page and you should find some decent reference links there for both continents.
