Unhappy O Man box no more

I lost my box fish today, he managed to pin himself inbetween some rocks and the glass. looks like ill have to re-vamp the aquascape for my next box. Has this happened to anybody else, or is (was) my box just handicaped?

A few years ago I found my boxfish wedged between a rock and the glass...I always assumed something spooked him and he darted between the rock and glass...meeting his demise when reverse was no longer an option...

I had my boxfish get stuck between between rocks to. When realizing my boxfish didn't greet me, I went on a search and was lucky enough to find him before it was to late. WHEW! Then I rearranged all my rock.

My guess is... since boxfish have bony plates instead of scales it makes them less likely to make it outta tight rock work. Not to mention that they are also weak swimmers.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I bet your boxfish was a cool fish.

Are box fish reef safe? I thought they grew very large and ate the rest of your reef as expensive snacks.

Arrow Box Reef safe

The indo pacific (Ostracion Tuberculatum) Blue-spotted Box fish is reef safe according to the complete encyclopedia of the salt water aquarium. It is also invertebrate safe but may peck at tube worms, all other box fish seem to be safe as well except for the hover craft box fish.
