Default moonlight questions

Rather than using a flashlight to go 'pod watching thinking about hardwiring in some LED's.

What colour is less disturbing and can they be on all night?

Princess Auto has different types for automotive, anyone using them? Some water proof, some even submersible (signal lights for boat trailers).

Red seems to be less disturbing when it comes to being stealthy,
But blue will make great colors come out.
Plus you have to take the millicandela rating into it (how brite the lite)

I use moonlights in my tank all night. They look nice and you can still see critters moving about.
