Ok final plans (I think ) after a couple days of thought and a few ideas I came up with this for a stand..

I am going to use it to devide my front room off from the front entry, so the short side will be against the wall and the main tank will be viewable from 3 sides.

Very interesting. There was someone with a very similiar design about six months ago. I'll try to remember who it was as it would be interesting to see how his/her project came along.

StirCrazy,

With so many tanks aren’t you worried about hoses slipping and pumping copious amount of water through out your house?

I really like the design and I have been working on a bigger tank design for my house in 2 years but I am worried about hoses and connectors. I prefer not to have basement swimming pool.

Thanks
Patrick

Hoses slipping...use stainless hose clamps

well I plan on using as little hose as I can. I am going to hard plum as much as I can.. and anywhere there there is a hose will have a hose clamp. there are so many tanks as I want a sump, a quarenteen tank, and a refuge. oh and also I forgot to draw the top off water tank on the top level

Use Quick disconnect unions..

And I'd go as much hose as you can.. Too much hard stuff can lead to a lot of work if something breaks or needs to be moved..

as well with hoses you get less vibrations being passed through everything.

Steve, use the braided type clear plastic hose. They have it at HD. I use it all over my system, from 1/2" up to 1 1/4". I think I got some for a better price at Coast Industrial on Dupplin Rd. same stuff tho.
