what kinda balast is IceCap

I was reading a thread on a different board and it was stated that IceCap ballasts were infact electronic HO ballasts. this would explain the lower power and everything. now if this is true we should be able to buy electronic HO ballasts for much cheeper than 300.00, shoulden't we?

Probably....I didn't want to say anything since I don't own one. But...there is a chance that they could be doing something special to drive VHOs.

They do have a new model out...and it is suppose to be better than ever.
