One of my RBTA got sucked into the intake tube. It didn't get right into filter just up the tube, looked dead and torn to pieces.

But, I left it floating at the top of the tank after a week or so, it had pulled itself back together and I ended up with 3 RBTAs from the one ripped to bits. Everything has been living for 3 months since and they all look perfect again.

So, don't just toss it out, keep it in the tank, just float the tube and it might survive, mine did!!

This just happened to me with one of my BTA's.

You need pristine water conditions and so on if you want that thing to survive at all. It is pretty torn up, It just needs to sit...

Obviously if it's stinky it's garbage.. if it starts rotting in the tank take it out right away as your only risking the chance of killing more of your anemones and corals......
