Seachem Phosguard

I just purchased a phosphate reactor and I'm curious if Seachem Phosguard is the same as Phosban media? Can I use the Phosguard in the reactor?

No, it's not the same. I believe the seachem stuff needs to be replaced quickly and is Al based, not Fe (Iron) based like phosban. I think you'd be better off returning it and getting the proper media.

I bought it a long time ago actually. How much am I looking at for Phosban?

Phosban isn't too much, cheaper than the rowaphos brand.
