![]() i was havng a big problem with i think its called cyno bacteria i can not afford metal halides but i do have power compacts at 4 watts per gallon i have a air stone protien skimmer and 2 powerheads in the tank i tore down my tank and scrubed all the snot off my tank it was a gross green mucus im going to be setting the tank up again and i would like any ideas as to how to keep it from happening again the tank has run for 3 years and never had this problem

![]() over feeding or poor lighting. I found that as my PC bubls were nearing the end of their life cycle(6 ish months) I had a lot more algae growing. Replaced the bulbs and all is good.
How much flow do you have in the tank? |
