Default Don't you hate when....

You stub your toe on something really hard.. especially your pinky toe.

Last night I smashed my pinky toe into our marble computer stand, and now I have myself a nice broken pinky toe!

Man, stubbing toes hurts

Dang!

Haha I feel your pain though, I've broken toes 4 or 5 times, and it is such a pain in the butt after for a few weeks.

Hope it gets better!

Chris

or...

you're moving rocks around in the tank and feel something squishy. "Oh, didn't realize there was a mushroom under that rock.", you think as you turn it over and see that your finger is mashed down on a giant, squirming bristleworm. Great, another swollen itchy finger.

Not as bad as a broken toe (been there) but far more frequent.

Oh man.... I haven't had a bristle worm encounter yet... are they pretty bad?? I am paranoid to stick my hand in the tank lately because I have seen them.. and I haven't heard too many good stories about bristle worms and fingers/hands/arms...

hmmm.. what's this squishy thing... lol

The bristles will go into your fingers, are nearly impossible to get out & will make it sting & swell up. It'll stay irritated for several days to a couple of weeks. Especially with the big nasty ones.

Well then, time to invest in some gloves I'd say... that doesn't sound like fun.

Either that or keep my darn hands out of the tank for once... (ha ..)

I find vinegar works pretty well for that

scotch tape for the bristles and vinegar for the irritation.

No remedies for broken toes though, unless your of drinking age

I have yet to have any effects from bristle worms.........I always touch one and never any iritation. Same with my annemone, no affects from the sting.
