Hey Ladies!

Yup, can you believe some people have thought I was a guy, until they meet me of course. It's probably cause I use the name Lee instead of my full name, Leeanne. Although everyone, including my family calls me Lee for short.

I thought Willow was going to be a female. I was kinda disappointed when he was not!!

And bullets, I totally didnt know you were female! awesome!

Nice to know there are women in the hobby...

Kinda funny... one of my girlfriends and I agreed that it would be really cool to have a reef keeping boyfriend.. I've seen some really cute guys in fish stores, but never know how to start up a convo with them... Any of you have a partner involved as well?

Default HA

Randy (or 'Pet' as Anthony calls him) isn't a reef person. Heck I think he only had a betta when I met him...but he's quite the trooper and likes to go to fish stores with me as well as learn new things.. So eventually........he will turn to the 'reefer' side....bwahahahahahaha

A few problems can arise if you date a reefer though. If their fish keeping habits and morals are poor, they can teach you all the wrong things if you are a newbie or just frustrate you constantly if you know that what they are doing is wrong (no water changes, over crowding) but they wish to hear nothing of it. They may try to over take your tanks and cause chaos within them by doing so. Or push you to do things with your tank that you didn't wish to do before. Though if it was the right kind of reefer, with good morals, good habits and the understanding that your tank is your tank and theirs is theirs...then it's all good.

I think a happy medium is great (unless you can find the ideal reefer). If they can enjoy and appreciate your hobby, or at least humor you about it...that’s great. Besides, it's kind of nice to have a hobby of your own...

I guess it all depends on personal preference though.

Ah well, at least my computers run very smoothly these days...

Cheers
