![]() Hey Everyone,
Well, im seriously consider getting an RO/DI or at least RO unit. Im wondering, I know all units produce so-called 'waste-water', but this stuff is still cleaner than tapwater, correct? And why do they produce this wastewater, and are there some units that dont produce it? Can anyone reccomend some cheaper RO/DI or RO units and where I can get it? Thanks. Chris

![]() no man, the waste water is condensed wasted tap water, its all the tds from clean tap water thus called waste water.

Look there for cheap RO/DI units. The guy ships out of Vancouver but it seems like he is having problems getting the tanks in. I am sure it will clear up soon. About the wastewater, someone with more expertise will have to let you know! Steve *Willow is quicker then I* |

![]() Ahh so the 'wastewater' per say is loaded with all the dissolved solids that were taken out of the pure stuff?
Thanks for the tips. I dont see a buy now price on the one from the guy in Vancouver? Does anyone know what it is? Also, is this ( http://aquariacanada.com/osCommerce/...roducts_id=377 ) appears to be the same thing? So they are decent? Thanks. Chris

![]() As I understand it, the waste water will be higher in disolved minerals, but will be free of organics and chlorine/chloramine and stuff like that since it has gone through some filtration before the RO stage where it exits as waste water. So from a certain viewpoint it is cleaner water.

![]() If you want you can go to your local Canadian Tire and they have some 2 stage or 3 stage for around $39.99. Just make sure you get the filter for each stage and if you want you can add a UV stage to it or use the one you already have for the tank.
