![]() H i all I don't know if anyone has done this but here's how i mounted my light hood.I went to revy and got these shelf brackets($13 )they are easy to install ,thin and very strong and you can adjust the height.They come in differant colours blk,wht,brwn etc and many length's 6"-18" i wanted to mount it so you could'nt see the bracket

![]() I like your idea. Not having to remove the lights when taking off canopy is great. Less weight on tank is a nice bonus. How many inches are your lights from the wall? Did you find studs for bracket mounting or use drywall anchors?

![]() My tank is 4 inches from the wall so i used the 16 inch brackets.As you can see from the close up picture i have a manual stud finder(hammer and nail)you can not see the holes when canopy on haha.thanks Paul
