![]() Well I can honestly say I'm very happy with how the downscaling from a 110 to a 48 went. Everybody is far happier and only 1 week in, I notice improvement in most of my corals. My one bali acro went from honey gold with purple tips to mostly violet with darker purple tips. My torch and pearl bubble are still adjusting a bit to the higher flow, but I see better extension each day.
As for my mobile critters, let's play a game. Guess my bio load!!!! Nemo, (there's an easy one to start) spends all day cruising tank with no fear and never slows. He loves to play in the currents. Hippy, flutters the rocks much more hunting bugs in the open as he used to be intimidated by the larger fish even though they never harrassed him once in my presence in the larger tank Cora is a real beaut! She just loves to weave her way through the many nooks and crannies I was able to create during aquascaping. She also seems to have slowed in her polyp peckings as a bonus. Even Boo is adjusting well. He spends a fair amount of the day in his bolt hole but comes out for longer and longer periods to hover in the current in front of his home. Galactica, hasn't changed a bit. Sit's under various rocks waiting to catch any floating by food. But at feeding time, he jumps to light speed. I'm a little worried about him getting to big for the 48 and worry about the fish. Berg, was never a speedster but has stayed on the same rock since the transfer. I don't think this is a bad thing. He seems to just be licking off the stuff that used to be under the rock and now is on the side as I rotated the rock. Tweedle Dee (Tweedle dumb went to a better place about 8 months ago) has been more visable in the last week than the entire year he spent in the 110. Almost always stays near front of tank now as he used to stay behind the rocks. I swear he now has about 3 store fronts he uses for his customers, who are so happy and healthy rarely visit. So do you know what's in my tank?? ![]() |
