I will try to describe it. It's totally black, slightly larger that an adult male thumb. It has a white stripe about 12mm long down it's back, antenna/eye stocks and no apparent gills (at least that I can see).

Matt

Have a look there and see if there are any that come close to your description. All of the nudibranchs are predators if I'm remembering my invert class correctly but not all the sea slugs are. Hope that makes sense.

Default What?

Thanks Troy. I had a look and didn't see anything that resembles my little guy at all. I'm beginning to think it's not a nudibranc at all, I don't see any gills and the antenna/eye stalks come out from under the animals mantle (for lack of a better name).

I know the one you are talking about because I have some as well. They are a type of nudibranch though I don't know the name, and sometime multiply in my tank. They are harmless, I see them at night roaming around the rock looking for detritus and algea.

Thanks Danny,

So far so good.... I don't see him often (like you say, "at night"). It doesn't seem to be bothering anything, and is grazing on the rocks like a good little fella. I've tried to post a photo, but I don't know what i'm doing just now.
