Default Centerbrace?

Does anyone know if the Oceanic 58gal RR tank has a center brace?

Its been many years since I owned mine but it never had a brace. I ran a vertical pendant/w a 250 Iwasaki over it.

Thanks Doug, I'm looking at getting that Coralife fixture with the 150W HQI, 2 PC Actinics and the moonlighting but the MH is right in the middle.

I wasn't aware but am looking at a lower light system. Thanks for the input.

Well, I just received a reply over at reefs.org and the person stated that they have a glass centerbrace so they've either changed their design or the other fellow was mistaken (I hope).

I assume thats the 3ft. tank. Mine was from about 7yrs. ago, so many changes could have been made. Or my memory has faded, I would think as long as a tank that size is made from at least 3/8th. glass with 1/2in. being a preference and running some type of Eurobrace would be fine. Mine, I believe had the hard plastic Eurobrace around it.

You should be able to see one at a Petland type store. Does Oceanic have a web page?

Oceanic does have a website but it doesn't say whether or not there's a brace. I was at J&L's and the 65gal does but it's 24" high. I'm going to go back to another store and see if the one they had hasn't been picked up yet.

Hey Troy, I just bought the 65 gallon tank a few weeks ago. I cut off the center brace and replaced it with a piece of 1/2 inch glass. The glass for it only cost me $10. If the 58 gallon has one you could very easily do the same.

I see someone on RDO agreed with me. Mine was the 20in. high model Tony.
