Default MH lighting and scatches

After my friends kid ran a muck with my algae magnet i have lots of scatches on the glass ,if kept totally clean i guess you cannot notice them so much (well i can but my roommate thinks i'm crazy as i point them out but anyways)i'm considering an upgrade in a few months from pc's to mh but i was told that even the smallest of scartches will show up under them ,true or false ? thanks ...

I belive this to be true. MH brings out any blemishes on anything. Here is an example: If you think your clothes are clean sit under an MH light or go out on a sunny day. you will notice they arent clean as you thought!

I have two scratches in my tank, the only time I can see them is if I look for them, so I do not believe it brings them out any more than another light. but of course the brighter the more chance of seeing stuff.

I must disagree as well. I have a numof scratchs in my tank. I dont see them unless I am looking for them most the time.
