Default algae growth

ive got some rust colour algae growth happening. since ive put in my mh light last week, ive got huge growth of a rust coloured algae on the glass, lr and on the crushed coral (pretty much everywhere)
any ways to control or remove it? water changes?
will the growth subside?

The tank is probably adjusting to your new lights.
Did you slowly acclimate the new lighting to the tank?

I experienced the same thing when I went MH because I didn't adjust my photo period. My friend started out at 4 hours with the same setup as me and he had no algae bloom. I bought a zebra conch to help my issues.
