![]() Hello! Just getting my 90g aquarium going. Just substrate and LR.. no fish or anything yet. A few weeks ago I noticed some planaria/flatworms on the glass.. which was neat! Have had amphipods for a while now too.
A few weeks ago I noticed these tiny white dots in the shape of spirals on several places on the glass. Soon after I've been noticing these little snails going around in the aquarium.. on the rock, on the sand, and on the glass. Here are some pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() They are all quite small.. none much bigger than about 0.5cm. Shells are pointy and more long than fat. Since I'm not actually putting any food into the water, I don't know what they like to eat. (Although they have been leaving a lot of trails on algae on the glass, so they seem to be consuming a fair bit of that it seems) One strange thing I've noticed is they seem to sometimes dangle themselves down on almost invisible threads much like a spider. I don't know what these are.. or if they are helpful or harmful. They may be baby Ceriths or Pyramidae <sp?>... or something else. Can someone help me with this? Thanks. ![]()

![]() Looks like a Cerith IMO. THose little spirals on the glass are little feathure duster worms.

![]() Don't think your snails are ceriths. Ceriths are skinnier than the ones in the pics. Don't have any idea what kind of snail it is though.
