Default Tube Worms

Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for a tank addition to help me get rid of my high population of tubeworms. I really am getting tired of all the "spiderwebs" they spit out into my tank when they feed.

Anyone???

Oh ... actually I think what you have isn't tubeworms, but in fact vermetid snails. They have a trap door at the top of the tube?

I have these too. Supposedly they are mostly harmless but I've found that those spiderweb strands can irritate some sensitive SPS. Increased waterflow can help keep the strands off the corals.

I'm not sure if anything eats them. They are reasonably easy to manually remove if they are causing a problem, however.

Thanks for the link Delphinus, that sure looks like what I have. Now the million dollar question is what to do about them. I just have far far too many and their "web" is even coating my fish when they cruise the rocks.
