Default Most expensive specimen i've seen at JL

Hey for those folks waiting for a Dragon Moray, there's one thats 18-20" for sale at JL for $1799. Plus taxes should hit you at a cool $2059.86
Wouldn't it kinda suck if that specimen died after a few weeks in your tank? It does look stunning in the pictures .......... but then again so does my big screen TV in my living room. and it even has a one year DOA replacement guarantee !

I wonder if JL will take monthly payments OAC

Hmmm. Time to dip into my secret Swiss bank account and withdraw that $$$. Wait, that was last night's dream. Oh well. Do you think they'll take my SUV in trade?

That's pretty hefty. Funny that you mentioned the TV -- cause my One Year Warranty just expired -- just thought I'd share.

... One day.

Went there today to check it out. Ouch, I'd get a good used car instead. Nice looking, but not $2060 spectacular looking though. At that price, it better come with its own tank, wouldn't you say?

I've heard Arrowana can get into the $200,000 range. But I think there's more associated with those and you're not paying solely for rarity, so it's hard to compare.

Don't mean to offend anybody here, but could it be a case of "more $$$ than brains" happening at these prices?

...say the people who spend $100 on a LIGHT BULB!

...or $600 on a PLASTIC TUBE THAT MAKES BUBBLES!

More money than brains, yes.. But let's not pretend we're anywhere near sane with the money we're pumping into this hobby.

A few days ago my mom mentioned in conversation at dinner with friends that I'd spent "about $150 on some 'live' rock... Isn't that right?" To which I of course answered "yes! Something like that!"

75 lbs of rock... Best not advertise..
