![]() Has anyone had experience with pom pom crabs stinging fish with their nems?
What does it look like? My Lubbocks wrasse has been in the tank for a couple days but suddenly developed a couple of white patches on his face, almost like "bleach" marks. They are not dots so it doesn't seem to be Ich but I could be wrong. He shares a cave with a pom pom crab so I was thinking that maybe he took a pimp slap to the face when he got too close. Other than that I'm not sure if it's just an injury or something else. I've been unable to get clear photos as this guy swims around pretty quick. Any thoughts? |

![]() could be that , the wrasse might be trying to get the crab . I can re-house the crab for you

![]() I'll keep an eye on the wrasse for now. It's times like these that I wish I had a QT tank.
If it is just physical injury, how long should one expect before it starts to heal? |

![]() Quick update for those interested:
The wrasse started healing, one of the white "blotches" has since disappeared and the other one in the forehead is starting to turn blue/purple again. Still not sure what caused it in the first place but he looks good and is swimming around/eating. Gonna have to chalk this one to him getting too close to the Pom Pom. ![]() Last edited by Moogled; 11-24-2016 at 12:43 AM. |
