![]() I have a float switch in sump that triggers a pump in a container of RO to top off sump.
Is there: a) A way to ensure the pump in the container of RO doesnt run dry; b) A way to ensure my sump isnt flooded with fresh water I really need something EXTREMELY easy to comprehend and set up. I hope this is more clear this time.. I was mixing up my oilfield jargon with my fish jargon :P Beth

![]() I used two float switches on my autotop off. One switch is located physically higher than the other one. If the lower switch is stuck in the "on" position then the other switch will act as a backup shut off switch when the water level raises high enough.
Here's where I got the plans for it. HTH -Richer |

![]() I'm kind of confused at your post here. You have an auto top off from your R/O to your tank? Is that what you have?
How is it currently set up? Do you have a switch that turns a pump on and off or does your switch control some sort of valve? |

![]() Beth i know what you are trying to say since being there snooping in your sump.
![]() You want to run a line from your RO unit to your sump VIA a float swtich ok. You have to drill the sump and have a certain leve lof water in there , but keep in mind that you may have to raise yuor water line to to sort out the return pump so it wont run dry. As the RO line is drilld to a float switch the water will drop and activate the RO water to the float switch and there you have it water topp off. BAD NEWS YOU AHVE TO TAKE OUT YOUR SUMP TO GET IT DRILLED UNLESS you have a way to se up the float switch.. mike

![]() WAY too much for me to handle. There has to be easy ways to do this stuff. I own 5 tools.. a hammer, a pair of pliers, and some screw drivers.. :P
