Default Vacation pics

well since there is a rash of vacation pics lately I figured I would add mine. Since mine are fish related I get to post them here though

here is a shot of the Urchins in there natural habitat.

the rest of the pics are from the Waikiki aquarium, while very small (almost to the point of being a rip off) it did have some very nice tanks but only took me less than an hour to go through. one of the better things was its out door pond, I spent 1/2 an hour looking at this alone, so 1/2 an hour to see the rest

the indoor reefs (may be more than on pic of a specific tank)

some species tanks

a tank that was outside that uses natural sunlight only

a fresh water tank they had, nice plant work in my poinion

and finally the outdoor pond

Wouldn't it be cool to have a saltwater pond like that in our backyards over here? .. sigh.

We probably could, but without anything in it except some rocks and water. At least salt water takes longer to freeze.

Very nice pictures Steve Is it Waikik's aquarium that hosts one of the worlds largest captive clams ? Thought I read that in a magazine not to long ago. Really neet to see an aquarium being able to thrive with natural sunlight, and those seadragons ......

Nice pics Steve. The anemone tank looks the same as in 96 when I was there.
