Default Algae pics

well i finaly got pics of the algae that is getting out of control in my tank. if anyone has had this and knows how to get rid of it let me know, I don't want to rip appart my tank if I don't have to.







and of course the gratuitous coral shots (but there is algae in thoes pics also

hi Steve,

Yes, J&L do carry Mexican Turbo Snails. They did a wonderful job cleaning off the red cotton-ball algae from my 15 gallon. They rock!

are you sure they were "Mexican" and not regular turbo's? as they don't list them on there site. The "Mexican Turbo snail" is Turbo fluctuosus.

but J&L only lists Turbo sp.

at any rate I sent them a e-mail about it.. maybe they have them in a different tank and not on there site.

now do they have sea hairs

yes,

They came from Carribean/Gulf of Mexico. They did wonders to rid of the algae in my tank. Try a few.

well 2 months laiter and almost not a speck of the red algae to be found. Thanks Emily for pointing me to the turbo snails they did the trick and then some, I have never seen my rock look this clean ever

I will try get some pics of the "After" and post them up in the next couple days.
