Default Splitting wavemaker between two tanks?

This is my idea, wondering if it's workable or not. Let me know your opinion..

The RedSea Wavemaker Pro is rated for maximum 720 watts power draw. The Maxijet 1200's are, IIRC, 20 watts.

So if one was looking at 4 to 6 powerheads in one tank, and another 4 in another, on the one unit, we'd be looking at something like 200 watts draw (not taking into account any kind of loss due to the extra extension cords).

Other than the logistics of trying to hide the mess/tangle of cords, powerbars and a central location for the controller, is there any reason not to try this?
