Default What is this nasty this??

I just bought a wild caught acro colony today from JL and while transitioning it to my tank I gripped what I thought was its skeleton and it squirted water right to my face. Like what!! Acro squirting water? So I took a closer look and it appears to be something that resembles a dried date. Each time I pressed on it it would squirt water out pretty dam far. Anybody have any idea what the hell this is and if I should cut it off my acro? Its now in my tank. Bottom right of the pics

I could probably tell you if I had it and a dissecting scope. short of that... no telling what it is.

if you're worried, just scrape it off and toss it. there's a good probability that it is harmless though, just like the variety of surprises that comes in with live rock.

It opened up now in my tank. I believe it is a sea squirt. Should I destroy or keep it lol.

yeah, the two siphons is the classic morphology of a sea squirt. One is the in-siphon and the other is the out-siphon.

It's a harmless filter feeder.
