![]() So I got a Hanna checker ultra low phosphorous checker and it came out with 14ppb or .014ppm now is this good? I believe this may be due to my hair algea using it all or could I have done the test wrong?0

![]() Everything I have read on the subject says to keep it under 0.03 so if thats the case then your 0.014 is looking pretty good. I know many people strive for 0.00 , but as you said phosphates can be locked up in algae in the tank as well as chaeto. So to know exactly what the true reading is pretty hard.

![]() Yea it's way more accurate if you google the checker or phosphate ppb conversion and click images I think there is a little table you and print out cheat sheet for the conversions
