I think you are a bit confused. It is other way around. I am trying to make my sale more attractive, comparing it to the store purchase, where taxes are applied. Also to answer your question, there are items where tax has to be added even at private sales, ie. cars, motorcycles...

slightly offtopic, but regarding the same product, what is the best way to wire one of these up to a powerhead? I have the same one, but haven't wired it up yet. Any pics of any installs?

I would wire the switch up through a relay just so I don't have 120V going through the switch.
