Sedra 5000 impeller shaft

Just got a brand new impeller for my sedra 5000 and before I can even install it the ceramic shaft breaks!!

Anyone have an old needle wheel impeller for a sedra 5000 or ASM G-3/G4 pump that still has the ceramic shaft intact?

I've heard you can use a carbon fibre shaft from the hobby stores that sell RC stuff - or go to a machine shop and get a stainless steel one - but I'd prefer the regular one.

Any other suggestions??
