Default Trick to Lenses?

Is there a trick to getting the lenses to stay on the LED's? Do people use crazy glue or something?

Another option is to sandwich them with a clear acrylic & a few small stainless steel bolts into the heat sink. This way you can alway change the LED board if something happens to it & still have the lens.

Place the lens on the led press it into position and put a little dab of glue at the side to hold it on the board.

That should hold it on. Dont get any super glue on the LED is self as it will damage it.

Thanks for your help. I found a little silicone, so attached them that way and see if they hold. If not, I guess I'll look for glue, but I figured that siliconing them would be easier to get off if I ever want to change things up.

I had read on various DIY LED build threads NOT to use superglue to adhere the optic to the LED star. I guess the fumes given off by the superglue while curing damage and cloud the inside of the optic.

What was suggested was using 2 part epoxy instead and putting a small dab on the back of the optic with a toothpick, then pressing the optic onto the LED star.
