Anyone need VHO lamps?

I just had one of my VHO lamps burn out over the long weekend.

(of course I was away and the tank was dark for 2-3 days, but that's another story, grrrrr)

I know that J&L offers a discount if you buy 4 or more of the same type of lamp. If anyone is thinking about replacing their VHO Aquasun or Super-Actinic lamps, please let me know. Maybe we can pool together and get the discounted rate. (About $1.50 per lamp less)

I will be buying 1 Aquasun + 1 Super-Actinic

(Thank God for cheap GE 6500K Ultra-Daylight NO lamps at Canadian Tire, only $4.19 + tax!)

They wouldnt happen to be 5 foot lamps would they?

If so i have three Bulbs,i believe all of them are 10,000k.
They were part of a cabinet i purchased a long time ago,and i did not use them so im unsure of age...

The lamps I need are 4' (48") lamps.

The Canadian Tire replacements are just temporary until I buy more VHO. I am still looking to buy 48" lamps from J&L. (Not bad replacements though for less than $5 each! I currently used to run 2 VHO, 2 NO to save money, corals have been growing fine)

I already have someone else who wants two Actinics, so we just need one other Actinic buyer and three more Aquasuns(10,000K)

Just figure that if I need lamps, someone else might too. If we all can save $1.50 per lamp then why not?

If we're all going to buy them anyway, why not save money? If we all paid full price for everything, we'd be a lot poorer than we probably already are.

If anyone else is interested in adding/replacing your 48" VHO lamps, please let me know this week.

We have 3 Actinic + 1 Aquasun spoken for and just need a couple more of each to qualify for a discount. Discounted prices (+ tax) are:

$40.45ea for 48" VHO Aquasun
$32.45ea for 48" VHO Super-Actinic

I will be picking them all up this week and you can pick them up any evening, or this Sunday at the Vancouver Reef Club meeting if you are attending.
