Protein skimmer for JBJ 24g

Can you tell what I could use as a skimmer in a JBJ 24g. I was told to order this:

but greg at J&L said the cup size was a problem.
I already tried using this piece of junk:

and let me tell you... it's cr@p!

Any ideas would be good!!!
