Blasto wellsi spawning?

Last night about 2am my husband woke me up to watch this. I have a colony of big green blastos. The polyps were taking turns spawning. One would swell way up, then open its mouth and shoot out quite a forceful squirt of cloudy "stuff" that would last 5 seconds.. Then a minute or so later a different polyp would swell and then squirt. This went on for well over an hour. The cleaner shrimps were going nuts. None of the other blastos colonys were "squirting", but the closest one to the green one had all its mouths gaping open. Weirdness.. Ive heard that corals spawn.. but this is the first time I have seen it.
