Default PH in Ca reactor

I'm using a PM 622 reverice Ca reactor and would like to know what Ph to shoot for in reaction chamber. Media is Rowalith C+ calcium. Right now I'm running at 6.6 to 6.8 PH. I have a PH monitor in the the reactor.
Having a hard time to blance Ca levels in tank.

I aim for 6.7 and adjust the flowrate of the effluent if the levels don't maintain (ie. increase flow and then adjust CO2 so that pH stays at 6.7). So you sound on the right track to me, but may need to increase flowrate.

I am controlling my PH inside the reactor between 6.5 and6.75 usually 6.60.

ARM media indicate on the package that for best results maintain PH between 6.50 and 6.75.

I find that there is a noticeable depletion of media when the PH is at 6.50.

Hmm...based on this conversation, I've just changed the pH of my reactor from 6.55 to 6.60. (I've been running a bit high on the Ca/Alk lately, so this is a way of turning the reactor "down" just a bit).

I have the same reactor....PM622. Mine has a 2nd stage added to it.

Got a DIY but 6.5-6.7 of the effluent keeps things steady.

You might have it covered already but I was also finding hard to keep the Ca up. Clued into fact that the water I was using for changes was way low on the Ca and Mg. Once started ensuring my change water was up, no problem with reactor maintaining.

The next inprovment to be added on to the tank is a 2nd stage Ca reactor like what Untame is running. A go DIY project for me. Where is a good place to get acrylic 4" to 6" OD 1/4 thick and about 18" to 24" long. I think that would make great size for an effluent chamber.

I think TomR just DIY'd a 2nd stage on his Ca Reactor by using a Phosban reactor. Nice, affordable alternative. It will be tough to find acrylic tube affordably in a short length.

These guys sell 6" stock...
