I bought a bright Orange and yellow sun coral from my LFS 2 days ago.... it was an impulse purchase and i didnt do my research on this coral before purchase and am finding it incompatible with my tank. My lights are too bright and its not really a beginner coral (thats what i get for going for the bright coloured pretty corals without having my trusty coral book with me).
I paid just under $40 for it including tax, so anyone looking to buy one? or maybe trade for some of their beginner / hardy corals? |

Sun corals are OK under bright lights David, and they are an easy coral to keep. They just need to be fed at least a couple of times a week. Even if you only feed them once a week they will survive, just not thrive.

and I find if you feed them first thing in the morning when the lights come on they will stay open for most of the day, looking pretty
