Default questions about lighting?

hey can I get some opinions on this light. Is it a good deal and would it be enough to grow corals in a 30" deep x 48"wide 150Gallon tank, your input will be greatly appricated. Here is the link http://www.oceanaquatics.com/view_pr...400Reefstar14K

Yes it is but you are probably going to have to buy 2 of them for the size of your tank. The other thing to think about is if you want to suppliment light with VHO, PC, etc. That light is just the halide light. I have one tank (24g) that is only lite with a MH light and I'm fine with it but it is something you should think about.

They recommend 1 MH for every 2' by 2' section, so for sure (like Ruth stated), you will need 2 pendants to light that size tank. Also, your tank is deep so 400 watts is good for penetrating that depth.
