Default Refugium on a Fish-only system

Anyone running on refug on a fish only system? I was thinking of setting up a 5-10g of macro (and maybe sand) to export nutrients and would like to hear from anyone who has such a set. How is it doing and what are the pros and cons ( if any). thx.

I know many successful tanks that are both reef & fowlr with refugiums attached. If its plumbed in properly, refugiums are one of the best things to add to a tank system IMO. Personally, I'm probably adding one or more to my systems when I move next month to a bigger place (bigger tanks )

Don't know what fish you're planning but most would appreciate pods from a refugium.
