Default Good bye to a good pet, it was a great 10 years!

Well Friday was a say day.. on my way home from work I dediiced to stop off and get a new Light and canopy for my Iguana name Zeus. (I spent $160, who said reefing was expensive <grin>)

After stopping off at Petland and getting what I needed, as I am driving home I had a pit in my stomach, the kind you get when you know something isnt quite right. Welll upon arrival home I got the kids out of the car, i went down to the Zeu's cage with her new liight system, and to my shock, she had passed away while I was at work. I had her for over 10 years. People have told me who had the pleasure of seeing her, that she was the best looking captive Iguana they have even seen. She spikes were all verticle right to the end of her lieft. not like most captives you see where there are either no spikes or they are all at a 90 degree angle. At the time of her death she was over 5 feet long from nose to tip of tail.

You will be missed girl, you are with your cat Thor who left use on Sept 22 2004.

Sorry had to write this

That's too bad, Jim. I know it'll never replace the one you lost but after a while, do you think you'll get another one?

Thanks everyone.

Not sure if I would get abother one SeaHorse they are alot of work. it was worth it though. It was hard when we wanted to go on holidays, not too many people wanted to look after our house and feed a 5 or 6' Iguana so we were limited in that regard. I never regret having her, She was great.. Getting another one? Probably not..

if I were to get anything relating to a Lizard again I would get a Chameleon or Bearded dragon as they stay small/.

Sorry to hear that, Jim. Although I've never had an iguana or any other pet that lived 10 years, it's gotta be tough.
