![]() I hope this is the right place to put this question. I was about to make up some new water for a water change when I looked into my rodi reserve tank and noticed that there was a small layer of foam on the top. When I pulled out the air stone the bubbles dissipated rather quickly. That got me wondering why. I noticed that it looked like there was some liquid laundry soap (tide he) spilled on to the lid, some might have entered the plastic barrel I use for my rodi water. I emptied the water and wiped out the residue from the sides. Now my question is should I continue to use this container or go and get a new one. Please assist me in this matter.

![]() If you rinsed it well it will be fine. If it was just a small amount anyway then the water in the tub would have diluted it a ton to begin with.

Just make sure you wash it our very well. If you're paranoid, use some hot water to be sure. |

![]() Okay You've convinced me. I will try the barrel. I went and bought a new scrub pad and used a couple of boiling hot kettles. Scrubbed till the cows came home. Hopefully there will be no damage done. Thanks for your input and advice.
