![]() I have what I thought was a beautiful specimen, but in may tank all the thing does is encrust. The frag I bought years ago was nice and thick, so this lead me to believe it would plate. Not a chance. I've tried it in multiple spots in my tank and all I'm left with now is monti all over my LR.
I can't remove the LR as there's too much good stuff on it. I don't want to try the epoxy method as there's just too much to cover, so I'm going to attempt to kill it with Kalk Paste. Any tips/suggestions ? Really crappy pic of what I'm dealing with ![]() |

![]() Mix it into a thin paste and suck it up with a syringe and then slowly squirt it onto the monti (with all the flow off) let it sit there for 30 min or so and then use some airline tubing to syphon it out. You can gently brush it with a toothbrush before you Syphon it out as well.

![]() I scraped most of my green encrusting then covered it with a thin layer of expoxy. Did the trick.
