![]() I had an intense discussion today with several people today and looking back it was actually quite hilarious and that was the world of gaming specifically console gaming versus computer gaming. I had the discussion with university students 4 males and 3 females and it was quite boisterous at times.
It was both funny and serious at the same time I am a computer gamer and have been online gaming for 18 yrs and I have little use for console games or console gamers whereas on the other hand the students were all over the board with their gaming preferences and their views were all over the board. What made it funny was the topic we were discussing what made it serious is how entrenched we were in our respective views and how far we were willing to go to put our views forward. It was a stupid topic but it was also a very personal topic for us at the same time that we were very passionate about in our own ways. So it begs the question have you ever been in a conversation on a stupid topic that had serious undertones to it?

![]() I had a very heated argument with my boss today - does that count??? At one point, he pointed out the window and I thought he was going to tell me to leave.....but he said he was leaving.....
![]() Serious topic - yes, work related issues that we've been working on for months to resolve with a team of professionals. We are close and work is underway to complete. Stupid - yes because my boss is an emotional time bomb ready to implode at the first sign of a full moon....seriously goes off the rails and I get tired of managing him. He threw a fit and I told him to get over it. At the end of the day, we inherited a huge problem we were not aware of until things started going sideways and then downhill every time we took a step forward as we'd uncover more issues which needed fixing. He's a great boss, always has my back, but just want to throttle him some days.....
