Just wanted to put up a few pics of my modded aqueon evolve 8. I had initially purchased the tank as a FW, however after a day of deliberation, I decided to turn it into a nano reef. I have listed the mods made, as well as what is currently in the tank. It has been running approx. 3 weeks now.

Mods: Filtration = Live Rock and Live Sand (both from 5 year old established reef tank). Pump = Eheim 2000 Compact pump Koralia Nano 240 Pretty basic Heater Lighting = Coralife 11 inch mini aqualight + 1 Truelumen 12,000K White LED strip (looking to upgrade lighting, and would be open to suggestions). Removed Acrylic lid and replaced it with glass top (mis-matched size, but it helps eliminate evaporation). CUC: 2 Red Leg Hermits 2 Blue leg Hermits 1 Nassarius Snail 3 Bumble Bee Snails Corals (looking for some help identifying some of them): Favia Coral Porite coral Leather Coral Red Mushrooms 2 frags (not sure on the species to be honest)... hoping to get some help on IDing these two. Pictures: Tank: ![]() Porite (looking for specific species) ![]() Leather Coral: ![]() Favia Coral (again not sure on species): ![]() Red Mushrooms: ![]() 1st Coral I am not sure of: ![]() 2nd Coral I am not sure of: ![]() Sorry for the poor picture quality, most pics were taken with my Cell, while others are taken with my point and shoot. I will be taking some updated pictures with my DSLR as the tank continues to progress and I finish up the last few mods (upgraded lighting and a small protein skimmer). Thanks for looking. Rob |
