![]() I have been waiting for a video of these things running in a tank with rock to surface. I'm very curious to see how the gyre effect performs when there's a thousand nooks and crannies for flow to be disrupted.

![]() Minus the fact that it's gawdawful ugly. I mean, who am I kidding? I'll probably try one out, but I know I'll be hating every second of it, haha.

![]() You got to remember though it is only a prototype and when you look up pictures of other things for a aquarium are just as ugly. I can't imagine what the first vortech pump looked like before they even released pictures and videos of there product when it was new. Personally i think all prototypes are ugly compared to the finished product.

![]() Supposedly they are to be released in black later on down the road - perhaps when the design is finalized.

![]() If there were one gyre pump on one end of the tank, and one gyre pump on the back wall, it would create a corkscrew type of gyre. If the two gyre pumps were varying speed on a different schedule you would get a random flow to hopefully get all the nooks and crannies in the rockwork.

![]() It'll be interesting to see what the pricing is like, very cool pump though.
