Default 1" Union Joint

Hey guys. Im looking for a couple 1" union joints that don't use an o'ring inside them. I can't seem to find any in town and I'd rather not have to change out a large amount of an already plumbed system because of this one part. If you know anyone that offers these please let me know. Thanks very much.

Why can't you have the o-ring. As far as I know you are quite possibly looking for some thing that is almost none existant

I agree, it will have to have some kind of ring or gasket to make the seal.

I have one half of the existing union joint, the part that the top half screws on to, and there's no groove for an o-ring. I've heard the o-ring can be in the top piece that has the screw on piece. That's what local retailers told me anyways.

It's possible your missing half has the oring recess
My Cepex true-union ball valves have the oring on the no-nut side, but my Cepex unions have it on the nut side

I have unions that are from different makers with the o ring on opposite sides. The only way it could be print less would be similar to a gic or rail union which in that case uses compression to seal.

Ok that makes more sense. Its probably on the side with the nut then. Any idea where I could order one?

Rona doesn't carry them. We dont have a Lowe's here but can you confirm they definitely have them?
