Default new or old LiveSand ?

hello im moving but should i keep the livesand i bought it from someones sump a year ago so he told me he had the LS for 5+ in hes sump plus 1 year i have in my tank

so should i keep this LS or should i put new LS in my tank ?

Keep a cup of the old to seed the new. If u use the old you should wash it and wash it and wash it and wash it and wash it

not worth the problems you can have in the future. Get new clean sand and seed it with a bit of the old one

oh okay thanks guys
when i get a cup of old LS should i wash or do anything to it ?
