Amphipod Eating Bubble Algae?

While my lights were off, I was shining my flashlight in the tank, searching for my emerald crabs to see if they were munching in the bba that I had. I was watching one of them when I looked over and saw a large amphipod, holding onto 3 pieces of bba. At first I didn't know what it was and then it moved and I saw that it was in fact an amphipod and it was munching away on the bba. I have never seen anything like this before from them and before it finished snacking on the bba, I snapped a quick pic of it. Has anyone else ever seen them eat bba?
