Default Snail suckin' powerheads

I've had a recent epidemic in several of my tanks. Snails are getting stuck on the air line inlet on the powerhead and becoming fertilizer.
I'm certain this is not an isolated occurance. What have you ingenious folks found useful for plugging this inlet. A glob of silicone would work fine but I'd like something that won't require "drying time"...

saran wrap works great. Just use something pointy and jam it in. If you don't like it, it is easy to remove.
