Green Algae

I have green algae that looks like a Fern style leaf. Not the thicker kind if that makes sence, but the finer grow all over my rock kind. I left it grow on the bottom as it was my pod factory. No it has taken over some of my rock work and is very hard to get rid of. My Tangs do not touch it other than cleaning it of the enterance to thier home leaving it float around eventually plugging up the power heads. Any ideas as to how to get rid of this stuff. It all started to go crazy when my Seaclone stopped working I know, hard to believe. Still wanting to replace it but not sure which one I want.
