I'm just starting a 20 gallon long as a nano reef I just mixed some IO salt getting this for PH 7.6 -77 24 C 1.024 salt Is my PH too low? I plan to bring up the salt to 1.025 There is nothing in the tank right now, no sand, just water. Thanks |

![]() Seems a bit low. Mine is always at about 8.0 with seachem salinity and I've never had problems but I'm not sure about 7.7. pH is affected by a lot of things including temperature, dissolved oxygen, calcium concentration, and magnesium concentration. Make sure you have lots of oxygenation. Other than that I'm not sure what to say but I bet that adding a buffer will only be a quick fix and it's probably more of an environmental control that is causing your low level.

![]() PH is something that I've been kinda playing with for the past little while. My PH hovers around 7.7 and everything is doing great.
Lots of polyp extension on my SPS, LPS, and the fish are eating and happy. I tried to raise the PH, with AquaVittro, and it p*ssed everything off. My alk is a steady 8.5 dkh I've found that if everything is happy, don't mess with it.
