Default how thick for a euro brace completely around on a 1/2" tank that is 96x24x24

Ok here is what I was thinking of doing the 8 footer thati have has 3 braces that are 6 " wide and inbetween there is euro bracing i would like to run 2 x 3" x 96" on each side of the tank. is that doable and take out the braces alone
so i would have euro on the front and the back and the sides and then i wouldn't need the other braces in the middle so that I could have a open tank. the Tank glass is 1/2"

Go 3/4" x 4" all the way around, that is what was suggested on my 96"L x 23"W x 30"T.

From what I have heard you go thicker than what your tank glass is. A guy I know went 5/8" for his Euro bracing on a 6ft tank with 1/2".

This is why I say 3/4", simply because it an 8'er. My new 8'er is 3/4" every where & no center brace.
